Saint Luke's account of Jesus' challenging preaching continues this week with the parable of the rich man and Lazarus. Despite the fact that wealth is involved, however, complacency seems to be the sin condemned here, especially in the light of the First Reading.

Annunciation Catholic School invites everyone to join us at our Blue Mass to pray for and honor all Law Enforcement, Fire Fighters, and First Responders on October 3 at the 8:30 am Mass.

The Feast of St. Luke Annual Parish Picnic will be held on October 13, beginning after the 11 AM Mass.

This Sunday, the Church in the United States celebrates Catechetical Sunday under the theme: "Stay with Us." Catechetical Sunday is a wonderful opportunity to reflect on the role that each person plays, by virtue of Baptism, in handing on the faith and being a witness to the Gospel.

Join us on October 5th for our annual Oktoberfest presented by St. Luke Parish Outreach Ministry.

On Wednesday,September 11, at 7 PM, we will hold a special Prayer Service. On the 18th Anniversary of that pivotable day in our history, we honor and remember the First Responders, those who perished, and those still suffering. All are Welcome to join in this beautiful remembrance.

The message for this Sunday reminds us about the significance of the Cross– the image central in the life of Jesus and in the life of those who follow in His name.
