Today a new year begins and the Christmas Octave concludes with the Solemnity of Mary, Mother of God. We begin the new year celebrating the generosity and fiat of Mary that made her the Mother of God.

Today, together with the entire world, we celebrate Christmas.

Christmas is so close we can touch it!  The joy of Christ's coming is already warming our hearts!  But our Lord wants our hearts to get even warmer!

Today the Church celebrates "Gaudete” Sunday, the Sunday of Rejoicing.

Our spiritual journey of the Second Sunday of Advent takes us alongside the banks of the Jordan River.
